About Me
For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated with how we human beings operate as individuals and in relationships, which led me to study Psychology at A Level, Degree, and Postgraduate level.
I have always enjoyed working with people, with over 15 years’ experience in various NHS Services promoting the health and wellbeing of diverse communities of young people, adults and older adults. I have also travelled and lived abroad, enabling me to develop a deep appreciation for cultural difference and diversity.

After experiencing some personal challenges in recent years, it brought my passion for mental and emotional wellness to the foreground, and I decided to pursue further training to become a professionally qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor.

How I work
It can be difficult to begin to face pain from the past, so my approach is trauma informed, with an awareness of the physiology of emotions, collaboratively working with you at your pace to promote nervous system regulation, safety and stabilisation, facilitating a conducive environment to gradually process painful emotions and experiences.

I employ a holistic integrative approach that considers the psychological, physiological, social, environmental and spiritual aspects of your life, drawing on various therapeutic modalities to enable a bespoke strategy suited to your individual needs. Some approaches include; Core Conditions, CBT, SFBT, Psychodynamic, Systemic, Narrative, Somatic, Attachment Theory, Christian counselling, Positive Psychology and Creative Therapy.
